A mi
y suave
Pero
nos da miedo abrazar la naturaleza
Y a pesar
No
Agradezco
a la niñez
Y a la
niña que fui.

I want
to tell you children a story,
Yes, I
was once like you
With
the world in my hands to knead it without fear
A hug
for whomever.
But for
some odd reason
Growing
up, us teens believe that we know everything,
That we
gain reason,
That we
grow gray hairs of wisdom, when in truth are they are graying by the stressful
work load and our very own mind games.
However,
we fear things more than when we were little and we rolled around in mud
regardless of the smell,
We
played with snails, insects, butterflies
Building
luxury homes of sedes, of crystals and freshly fallen branches.
Today,
I cannot let a ladybug even approach me
I release
a scream and grimacing
A:
"blech!"
At my
age, we have experienced a new kind of love
Strange
and soft
And yet
now we are afraid to embrace nature
Now, at
17, I do like the heat and the sweetness of the onion,
I
cannot stop crying instead of laughing when I fall.
---
I know
you hear every word stated by each immature adult little ones.
I know
that the messages we try to hide, are more evident with small ears and a
flourishing mind
So, I
dedicate these words to you:
"You
are the wisest and most open beings in the world. Sponges wanting to know the
'why?' With an honesty and a love that is pure and complete. "
I thank
childhood
And the
girl I was.
